Senior Naval Engineer - Huxley Associates

A leading International Operator is looking for a Senior Naval Architect to be based in Milan.

The ideal candidate should have experience int he offshore industry and be able to perform and check engineering activities and their documentation for shallow, deep and ultra-deep water oil & gas fields.

He/She should be able to coordinate engineering activities while guaranteeing system integrity with respect to project objectives, international standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Select and design the best technical solution as far as floating structures are concerned- Design and follow up the FPSO design (both new-built and converted)- Check contractor design.- Coordinate design activities ensuring technical support during execution phase.- Define tender documentation and carry out technical evaluation of the tender.- Act as the Technical Authority and, if needed, the Technical Coordinator as far as naval aspects are concerned- Ensure interface between different contractor and between contractors and company.- Attend technical and coordination meetings- Provide assistance during audit and peer review


The ideal candidate profile is as follows:
- At least 5 years experience within an oil & gas floating structures- At least 4 years experience in detail design of oil & gas floating structures- Experience in FPSO design (New-built & converted)- Experience in ship and floating structure design with respect to structural sizing of primary and secondary structures, stability checks and environmental loads.- Experience in definition and follow up of tender documentation for ship and floating structures.
